Mary Frances Hildebrand Henderson

Mary Frances Hildebrand Henderson, 75, of 8230 Azalea Road, Sherrills Ford, died Sunday, March 1, 2009, at Lake Norman Regional Medical Center in Mooresville. Born in Catawba County on March 28, 1933, she was a daughter of the late Louis Avery Hildebrand and Mary Elizabeth Josey Hildebrand. She was a member of Olivet Baptist Church where she was a former Sunday school teacher and was a retired furniture worker. She enjoyed playing canasta and rook and watching basketball. On October 28, 1961, she married Clay Henderson, who survives. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Rita Miller, and a brother, L. A. Hildebrand. In addition to her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Tonya Jarnac and her husband, Ed, of Catawba; grandchildren Clay, Biana and Drew Jarnac, Trey Miller and his wife, Lynn, and Jenny and Sarah Hearrell and a great- grandchild, Vivienne Miller. Also surviving is a brother, Fred Hildebrand and his wife, Sheila, of Sherrills Ford. Services celebrating Mrs. Henderson's life will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday at Olivet Baptist Church with Dr. David Mills and Dr. John Marks officiating. She will lie in state for 30 minutes prior to the service at the church and burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 this evening at Bunch-Johnson Funeral Home.
