Phyllis,
We regret that we were unable to attend the funeral as we are trying to recover from illness. James was a very special person, a dear friend and role model to all who knew him.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
Love,

My thoughts and prayers extend to Phyllis and her family. It was so refreshing to see James and Phyllis working together at the NCBPAC. They always showed so much care and tenderness for each other and it extended to anyone who was lucky to be around them. We all shall miss James' presence at the Blumenthal. Blessings, Angelina

We are so sorry to hear that James has passed away, and then to learn of Foy's death, also. James was well respected as a great leader in the church, as well as someone who was full of surprises when you would least expect it! He was always there to support the music ministry at Moore's Chapel and would always participate if needed in our musical dramas and fund raiser programs. I am sure he will be greatly missed. We thank God for the opportunity to have known James Brown.

Mr. Brown has always been an intergral part of my church life ever since I started attending Moore's Chapel United Methodist Church when I was 5 years old. He and Phyllis have been there to support me and later my husband and children in the many aspects of our church life. I will greatly miss him coming over and greeting me every Sunday. Our hearts and prayers are with his family as they mourn his passing but know that he is in a better place and that one day we will meet again.

Phyllis&family,
I didn't know James that well as I knew Foy. I know this is a hard time for you losing your Uncle and now your dad. I remember mom and aunt Dinky talking about him and how sweet and kind he was. I can remember Aunt Myrt and Uncle Fred would get excited when James and the family would come for a visit. May the Lord bless you and keep you in his loving arms. I just wont to let you know that you are in our thoughts and prayers. May God bless you.
