Pauline McDaniel Obituary

Pauline Taylor McDaniel, 78, a resident of 749 Sheffield Road, Harmony, died Saturday, Feb. 17, 2007, at Davis Regional Medical Center following an extended illness. Born on May 1, 1928, in Iredell County, she was a daughter of the late Troy Taylor Sr. and Blanch Bennett Taylor. Pauline was married to John Frank McDaniel, who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by a son, Gary Frank McDaniel; a brother, Troy Taylor Jr.; and a brother-in-law, William Church. Survivors include a son, Jerry McDaniel and wife, Kim; two daughters, Judy Beck and husband, Fred, and Vicki Swain and husband, Frankie, all of Harmony; six grandchildren, Michelle and Jennifer Beck, Matthew, Luke and Tommy McDaniel and Bryan Swain; two sisters, Betty Church of Statesville and Aileen Clanton and husband, Owen, of Stony Point; and a sister-in-law, Billie Taylor of Statesville. The funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. today at New Union United Methodist Church. Officiating will be the Rev. Alvin Pope, Dr. Bobby F. Henderson and the Rev. Randy Goodwin. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The body will lie in state 30 minutes prior to the service. The family will be at the residence and will receive friends at from 7 to 9 p.m. today Reavis Funeral Home in Statesville. Arrangements are in care of Reavis Funeral Home of Statesville.
