I am saddened to hear about Frank's sudden passing. I am a member of CLF and knew him from his wonderful wit and caring heart, that was so evident in his posts. His love for family, friends, and fellow police officers was overwhelming.

May God give all who knew him comfort, grace, and strength to get through this tough time.

I never got the joy of meeting him in person on this eath but I know I will see him in Heaven.

Until then, God Bless you Motormanfl.

A Police Officer's Prayer

Lord, I ask You to be with me
In a very special way
As I face the challenges
That come my way each day

Please give to me compassion
For the innocent I see
Help me to protect & serve
Those who depend on me

When duty calls to danger
I will rely on You
To give strength & courage
And help me make it through

And when my shift is over
Thankful, I will be
That You have been the unseen guest
Walking next to me.

Officer Storey, may you rest in peace! Heaven has gained another guardian. Our thoughts and prayers are with Frank's family.

I met Frank and Dan in 1973 when we were all in EMS, working for a private service in Winter Haven, on Central Avenue. Frank rode a Honda 125 then. Frank always had a lot of energy, and was high-spirited. Although I haven't seen him since I left Florida, I still remember him well. My thoughts are with the family.

In our life, we choose what road to walk down and with whom to let walk with us.
I've found that kindred souls tend to walk together because of a bond. My belief is that our souls will keep returning until we have learned all we are to learn and somehow we always seem to find one another in a lifetime down the road. Each life a new learning experience. It took us awhile to find each other and the visit was way to short but we will see each other again. Motorman, it was nice to see you again and look forward to our next meeting. Bon Voyage and smooth sailing.

Be still like the grass on a melancholy summer day
Be still like desert shrub.

I was very saddened to hear Frank left us on Wednesday. Before my mother died she found this poem and she gave it to me and said she would like me to read it at her service to remind others not to morn her too long.

I would like to share this with Franks Family, as he seemed just the person to be saying it!

"When I come to the end of the road,
and the sun has set for me.
I want no rites in a gloom-filled room.
Why cry for a soul set free?
Miss me a little—but not too long,
and not with your head bowed low.
Remember the love that was once shared.
Miss me, but let me go.

For this is a journey we all must take, and each must go alone.
It’s all a part of the master’s plan, a step on the road to home.
When you are lonely and sick of heart, go to the friends we know. Bear your sorrow in good deeds. Miss me, but let me go.
