I met Tony in the 1970's. He was always pleasent no mater what the issues were. More recently, I would see him at dances since he loved to dance. I was thinking I would see him tonight until I finished reading my old papers this morning. His smile and happy demeanor will be missed.

My sympathy goes out to
Tony's family for their loss of Tony. I recall so many great times we had together fishing, golf and just being buddies. He was a true friend in every sense of the word. He will be greatly missed by all those who knew him.

Tony has been our next door neighbor since 1979. I had known him as the manager of Financial Federated Savings & Loan in Arcata; then we both decided to buy into a new subdivision - we had considered the plus/minus features of the development and ended up next door. I doubt that we could have found a more pleasant neighbor - nor one more willing to help out with either advice or assistance.

With sincere condolences to Tony's family - Bryan and I are saddened by this loss. I could always count on Tony for a funny story, a warm hug, a bag of vegetables and a dance around the dance floor. Always the gentleman and always a good friend. We miss you, Tony, and we remember you. God speed.

I met Tony while attending the Eureka Inn Wednesday Evening Ballroom Dance events several years ago. He was always one to share a joke and a dance or two. He was a gentleman and walked me to my car to protect me from the “Axe Murderer” or any other potential conflict he may have perceived.
We spoke often on the telephone, more often when his relationships ended or he had health issues. We had an agreement that he would keep me informed when he wasn’t well so that I could check in on him. I spoke with him just hours before his passing, he never mentioned he wasn’t feeling well.
His last words to me were “Thanks for letting me complain to you.”
My last words to him were “That’s what friends are for.”
I'm going to miss him alot. I already do.

My condolences to Tony's family, and especially to Christine who has tragically lost both her brothers. I will always remember Tony for his mischievous smile and bad jokes. Just seeing Tony would light up my day. He was positive, upbeat and genuinely interested in what I was doing. Losing a classmate creates feelings of shock and deep loss. I truly grieve Tony's passing and hope he has been joyfully reunited with his parents and brother. Eris Wagner, Class of 1966

Always remember Tony and his sooped up Plymouth Valiant with the 273 cubic inch V8 engine and chrome rims in High School. It earned him the nickname of "MOPAR". I believe a moniker placed upon him by Joe Massei our resident bestower of nick names at Saint Bernards.
