I remember soccer games on the Virginia State Patrol Headquarters grass airstrip in Richmond he oversaw in the 1970s. His enthusiasm and encouragement of our group of neighborhood teens recruited to play is a fond memory of him that I still value. I hope I have the right man here, that lived in Rock Creek Park in Bon Air. He was friendly, fun, and inspiring. May he rest in eternal peace.

Thank you for your service in the Navy and as an insurance agent. I have been going through my deceased parents' papers and have found numerous items with your business information included. You were trusted and appreciated by Mosby and Ruth Wigginton. Thank you! Sincerely, M. Cindy Quillon

I have very fond memories of Bob back when he was a State Farm Agent and I was working in Cheryl Gardner's Agency. I was 18 years old, brand new to the job, and he came to the office pretending to be a fire marshall asking where the fire extinguishers were. I was young, new and panicing. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you during this difficult time. Bob was a wonderful person and made me laugh. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Cheryl and Mark, you have been and will continue to be in my prayers.
I gotta tell you....I'm a better person because of knowing Bob. I know a lot of people are better because of knowing him...He was an exceptional man and will not be forgotten.

Many years ago Bob's office was around the corner of our claims dept. on Mall Drive and he would drop in often along with Mark.

He made a positive impact on all who knew him.

My prayers are with his family.

I had the pleasure of knowing Mr. Willoughby at Southerland Place. He was always the gentleman throughout his stay with us. Bob was such a big help to me when we were planting tulips in our courtyard. Our love goes out to Cheryl who was a shining example of a devoted and loving wife. We will miss you Bob!

Bob was a wonderful friend whose
company my husband and I enjoyed so very much. My husband
predeceased Bob by 5 years and they are now reunited and rejoicing together in heaven. My prayers are with his dear family.

Has it really been that long? Many years ago, Mr. Willoughby was like a favorite uncle -- warm, vital, supportive and always of good cheer. Together with Mrs Willoughby, he helped make our high school days extra special. Love and prayers to all of you.

Cheryl, We are sorry to hear of Bob's passing and know that this has been a difficult time. You both are wonderful people and we always enjoyed the time we spent with you. May you have peace knowing that Bob's faith was strong and that he loved Jesus. God bless you and your family during this time of mourning.

Bob was a great man, who supported his children's friends as if they were his own. He was the first parent we met who was an enthusiastic fan of soccer and his love for the game was contagious. I am confident his joy in the game is one of the reasons that Mark was one of the first true stars of soccer to come out of Richmond.

Our heartfelt condolences and prayers go out to Bob's family at this time of sorrow.
