Patrick Crowling Obituary

CROWLING, Patrick M. Jr., 64, of Richmond, went to be with the Lord on August 11, 2008. He was preceded in death by his parents, Margaret Spencer and Patrick Crowling Sr.; and his sister, Peggy Crowling. He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Pauline S. Crowling; daughter, Katherine Robinson and her husband, David; son, Patrick M. Crowling III and his wife, Ruth Feinblum; grandchildren, Dylan Robinson, Spencer Robinson and Samuel Robinson. He practiced law in Richmond for over 30 years, was an active member of Saint Edward's Catholic Church, and an avid gardener. The family will receive friends Friday, August 15, 2008, from 5 to 7 p.m., at the Huguenot Chapel of Woody Funeral Home, 1020 Huguenot Road, Midlothian. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, August 16, 2008, at Saint Edward's Catholic Church, 2700 Dolfield Dr., Richmond. Interment to follow at St. Mary's Cemetery, Norfolk, Va. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, Greater Richmond Chapter, 4600 Cox Road, Suite 130, Glen Allen, Va. 23060.

Patrick was my lawyer and represented me several times, all successfully, handled my divorce, settlement of parents estate and provided much personal advice which I will never forget. He was the kind of man every lawyer should strive to be, honest, understanding and forthright. I will miss him.
