Lena May Newcomb

NEWCOMB, Lena May, of Richmond, departed us on August 12, 2008 at Chippenham Medical Center at age 95. She is survived by sons, Lonnie and Jerry Shifflett; a daughter, Sheila Cox and her family; sister-in-law, Stella Hume; daughter-in-law, Connie Shifflett; grandchildren, Bernard Porter and wife, Tabatha, Jerry Jr., Joey, Elizabeth, Amanda Shifflett and Crystal Curry; great-grandchildren, Morgan and Carly Porter, Patrick and Adreauna Shifflett; close friends, Jr. and his family, Zarina, Jimmy R., Crissy, Brenda, Jimmy C., Danny, Debbie, Doug, Lillian, John, Tony, William and Mary Walker and family, Helen Pierce and family, Seymore and family, Mr. and Mrs. Parker and family; new neighbor, Steve, and the neighborhood family of West 34th Street. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Saturday at Bliley's-Chippenham, 6900 Hull Street Rd. A graveside service will be held 12:30 p.m. Saturday at Dale Memorial Park.
