Daphene Dee Gattis Scarlett

SCARLETT, Mrs. Daphene Dee Gattis, 74, 831 Pocono Dr., Richmond, Va., died Saturday, August 16, 2008. She retired at Western-Electric - Lucent. She was a 1953 graduate of Hillsboro High School and a member of Bon Air Baptist Church. Surviving are her husband, Edward A. Scarlett; her daughter, Dee Ann Scarlett Strouse (Geoffrey), Tallahassee, Fla.; two sons, Kane Scarlett (Kevin Myres), Albuquerque, N.M., and Todd Scarlett, Richmond; one grandson, Ryan Scarlett, Richmond, Va.; two granddaughters, Nicola Strouse and Natalie Strouse, Tallahassee, Fla.; three sisters, Jacquelene G. Burton (Bobby), Hillsborough, Doris G. Cook (Paul), Mebane, and Peggy G. Walker (Norman), Hillsborough; and one brother, Ronald D. Gattis (Betty), Wilson. The service will be held 1 p.m. Tuesday in Walker's Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends following the service in the funeral home.
