BRADSHAW, Lucille Paulette, passed away Sunday, August 17, 2008, at Lakewood Manor Baptist Home. She was preceded in death by her husband, Claude Jenkins Bradshaw, and her parents, Thalia and Eustice Paulette. She was a longtime resident of Rice, Va., and retired from Longwood College. She was a member of Second Baptist Church. Surviving are her daughters, Claudia Miller and Sara Lu Chenery and her husband, Alan; her grandchildren, Brad Miller and wife, Angie, Ann Drake and her husband, Tom, Lu Gay Lanier and her husband, Bob, and Jeff Chenery and his wife, Audie; great-grandchildren, Cortne and Carl Lanier. The family wishes to express their gratitude to the healthcare staff at Lakewood Manor for their loving care. Visitation will be held 4 to 6 p.m. Wednesday at the Parham Chapel, Woody Funeral Home, 1771 Parham Rd. Graveside services will be held 1 p.m., Thursday at Pisgah Baptist Church, Rice, Va. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Lakewood Manor Baptist Homes, 1900 Lauderdale Dr., Richmond, Va. 23238.

Although many years have passed since I last saw Mrs. Bradshaw, I can still remember her as a very sweet lady and I know she will be missed so very much. There's no doubt that she is now with our Creator! May God be with each family member during this sad time!
