Mildred M. Woolard

WOOLARD, Mildred M., 91, of Mechanicsville, went to be with the Lord August 18, 2008. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jordan Woolard. She is survived by her daughter, Arlene M. Goodman; son, James R. Morrison (Judy) of Sacramento, Calif.; grandchildren, Janice Thorpe (Anthony) of Boulder, Colo., Jeffrey A. Goodman (Tonya) of Goochland, Va.; great-grandchildren, Whitney, Amber and Phillip Goodman, Andrea and Ian Thorpe. She is also survived by her brothers, Thomas Muire (Ruth) of Aylett, Va., Blanton Muire (Myrtle) of Powhatan, Va., and many nieces, nephews and friends. She was a member of Mechanicsville Church of Christ and a retiree of Hanover Cleaners. The family will receive friends today, August 20, 2008, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Atlee Chapel, Woody Funeral Home, Rte. 301 and Shady Grove Road, Mechanicsville. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, August 21, 2008, at Corinth Christian Church Cemetery, 9153 Dabneys Mill Road, Manquin, Va. 23106. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made, in memory of Edith and Douglas Muire and Hermon Morrison, to Corinth Christian Church.
