William Harold Woolard Jr.

William Harold Woolard Jr. was born in Washington, North Carolina, on November 25, 1960, to William Harold Woolard Sr. and Vernell Harris Woolard. Both of William's parents had beautiful singing voices, a gift that was passed down to him. From an early age, William loved to sing, and his passion for music led him to form a band with his friends that played together for 30 years.

William was preceded in death by his parents, William Harold Woolard Sr. and Vernell Harris Woolard, and by his sister, Wanda Gail Woolard.

He is survived by his niece, April Woolard Roberts (Tyler), and two great-nephews, Worth and Harris Roberts of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina. He is also survived by his two sons, Tyler Woolard of Vanceboro and William Christopher Woolard (Amber) of Washington, North Carolina, and by his daughter, Brittany Gibbs (Floyd) of Engelhard, North Carolina.

William will be lovingly remembered by two lifelong friends, Ronnie Turner and Charlie "Buddy" Webb, and by his loyal cousin, David Mitchell.

William's love of music, his kind heart, and his lifelong friendships will continue to be cherished by all who knew him.

A Celebration of Life service to honor William will be scheduled at a later date.
