Born On September 8,1962, Bruce was the son of the late Bruce Dixon Gray and Nancy Gibbs Jefferson. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Scott Gray.
Bruce spent most his days fishing or you could find him working on boats or enjoying seafood. He was a baptized member of Haws Run Primitive Baptist Church in Jacksonville, NC.
He is survived by his sister Pamela Rooks (Aaron) of Georgia, daughter Rebecca Spain (David) of Washington, son Bruce Gray (Amber) of Pinetown, and daughter Kaylee Gray. He is also survived by his cherished grandchildren Adam McLawhorn (Jenna), Elijah Spain (Makenzie), Ava Gray, Ashley Gray, Parker Gray, and great-grandchildren Stetson McLawhorn and Jaycee Spain. He loved and cherished all his friends.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday April 11, 2026 at Havens Garden Park in Washington, NC from 3:00pm to 6:00pm with Elder Kenny McNeil officiating. The family invites guests to bring their chairs, fishing poles and picnics and join us in remembering Dad in his favorite way after the service.
