Catherine A. Sacra

SACRA, Catherine A., of Mineral, Va., passed away August 22, 2008 at the University of Virginia Medical Center in Charlottesville, Va. She was born August 1, 1925 in Louisa, Va. to the late Thomas L. Armstrong and Pacolia Parsons Armstrong. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Victor H. Sacra Sr. Mrs. Sacra was retired from Louisa Manufacturing Co. She is survived by her children, Victor H. Sacra Jr. of Mineral and Barbara J. Sacra of Virginia Beach; two sisters, Beatrice Rodgers and Bessie Simmons, of Richmond; grandchildren, Angela Goodman of Bumpass and Michael Sacra of Mineral; a great-grandchild, Lauren Kay Goodman of Bumpass; and numerous nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, August 25, 2008 at Woodward Funeral Home, 200 Fredericksburg Ave., Louisa, Va., with Rev. Theresa Hoffman officiating. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery. Visitation will be held Sunday, August, 24, 2008 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
