William W. Redd

REDD, William W., husband of the late Margaret Wesley Redd, entered eternal rest on August 25, 2008. A graduate of Virginia Union University, retired postal worker, member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., and an active member of Ebenezer Baptist Church, he is survived by his son, William Wesley Redd of Richmond; a grandson, David Redd (Mary) of Richmond; granddaughter, Amani Redd of Richmond; three great-grandchildren, Dominic, Andre and Alaina; one brother, James C. Redd of Washington, D.C.; one sister-in-law; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends, among them, a special friend, Etta Whitehurst. His remains rest at the W.S. Watkins & Son Funeral Home, 2700 North Avenue. Funeral services will be conducted at the Ebenezer Baptist Church, 216 W. Leigh Street, on Thursday, August 28, 2008, at 11 a.m. Pastor Levy M. Armwood Jr. officiating. Interment Forest Lawn Cemetery.
