Renee Black Obituary

BLACK, Renee "Riva," 63, beloved wife of Theodore Black, died suddenly on August 26, 2008. Born September 28, 1944 in Philadelphia, Pa., she graduated from the Philadelphia Institute of Technology and the Baltimore Culinary Institute. She was an accomplished pastry chef, designer in fine arts and a Life Master in Duplicate Bridge. Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of 18 years, Ted; her daughter, Caroline Caplan and her husband, Barry, and their children, Samuel, Daniel and Asher; her sister, Joyce; and devoted niece, Rachel. There will be a service at Roosevelt Cemetery, South Hampton in Philadelphia on Friday, August 29, at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Holocaust Museum.
