OWEN, Lee Roy, 73, of Varina, went to be with the Lord on August 25, 2008. He was preceded in death by his wife of 49 years, Geraldine. He is survived by his son, Carl Owen; his daughter, Wanda Owen; two brothers, Curtiss and Tom Owen; four sisters, Joyce Tyree, Mildred Riley, Brenda Carroll and Betty Rose; one granddaughter, Kristina, and her father, Willie Beale. A memorial service will be held Saturday, August 30, at 11 a.m. at Cool Spring Baptist Church, 9283 Atlee Station Rd., Mechanicsville, Va. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorial donations be made to the Lee Owen Memorial Fund, P.O. Box 397, Providence Forge, Va. 23140. This account will assist with the education of his granddaughter.

We are sorry about the loss of our nephew Lee Roy, we had hoped to attend his funeral, but are unable to travel at this time. Please know that his famiy has our sincerst sympathy and are in our prayers.
