BALLARD, Hilda Childress, 82, of Rockville, Va., passed away August 28, 2008. She was preceded in death by her husband, Homer Vincent Ballard. She is survived by her children, Homer Ballard Jr. (Janet), Kenneth Ballard (Linda), James Ballard (Roberta), Michael Ballard (Stephanie), Roy Ballard, and Helen Poore (David); 10 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends Saturday, August 30, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the West Chapel of Bennett Funeral Home, 11020 W. Broad St., also where a funeral service will be conducted on Sunday, August 31, 2008 at 2 p.m. Interment to follow at Berea Baptist Church Cemetery.
