John Edward Joyce

JOYCE, John Edward, died on July 3, 2008. He earned Bachelor's and Master's degrees at Old Dominion University after serving in Vietnam with the United States Marines. His multifaceted career included working as a high school teacher and administrator and as a commercial contractor. He was also a mechanical engineer with the Virginia Department of Mental Health, Director of Physical Plant Services at the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts and Director of Maintenance at Eastern State Hospital. John is survived by his wife of 36 years, Donnah; his twin sons, Michael and David; and his grandson, Aidan. A gathering of family and friends will be held September 13 at 2 p.m. at the Queens Lake Clubhouse, 234 E. Queens Dr., Williamsburg, Va. Memorials may be made to Hospice House of Williamsburg. Arrangements are by Bucktrout Funeral Home.
