FIGG, Leslie "Les" Tabor Jr., CMSgt, U.S.A.F. (Ret.), 86, of Mechanicsville, Va., grew up in Crewe, Va., departed this life on September 1, 2008. He was predeceased by his wife Kathleen (Kay) Bernadette Neilan Figg; and son, David L. Figg. Survivors include his son, Steven J. Figg; two daughters, Suzanne K. Figg and Jennifer M. McMillan; three granddaughters, Lesley Anne, Sara and Brianne; a great-grandson, Shawn; and several nieces and nephews. Les and his wife, Kay, met in England while he was in the U.S. Air Force. After marriage, they moved to Germany where he participated in the Berlin Airlift. During their 45 years of marriage, they lived at various air bases in England, Germany, the Netherlands, North Africa and the United States. Les went on to a second career and retired as Director of Fiscal Services for the Supreme Court of Virginia. His remains rest at Bliley's - Staples Mill, 8510 Staples Mill Road, where the family will receive friends from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday and where a Christian Wake will be held 7 p.m. Wednesday. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Thursday at Catholic Church of the Redeemer (Mechanicsville). Interment Westhampton Memorial Park, where his remains will be laid to rest beside his wife and their son.
