GREEN, Jerry Wayne, 68, of Chesterfield, passed away Monday, September 1, 2008. He is survived by his loving wife, Helen M. Green; one son, Jerry Green Jr. and wife, Becky; two daughters, Julie Hurst and husband, Kevin, Jessie Evans and husband, Jon; brother, William Green and wife, Dorothy; sister, Nellie Meyer and husband, Earl; and brother-in-law, Bill Fisher. Also surviving are his grandchildren, Joshua, Loryn Rose, Jonathan, Ethan, and Jackson; and faithful caregiver, James Avent. Mr. Green served in the U.S. Navy, and was a former employee of Exxon and Woodfin Oil Co. He was a member of the American Legion, a past Post Commander for the V.F.W., and a member of the Manchester Moose for many years. His funeral service will be held Wednesday, 11 a.m, in the Chesterfield Chapel of Bennett Funeral Home. Burial with military honors will follow in Dale Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 4000 Cox Rd., Suite 130, Glen Allen, Va. 23060.
