COOKE, Mildred M., departed this life August 29, 2008. She was predeceased by her son, Clarence L. Alexander. She is survived by her mother, Mable Lee Gilliam; five children, devoted daughter, Mary Louise Cooke; devoted sons, James Alexander, Roosevelt Simmons Jr. (Sheila), Orlando Simmons and Quinton Johnson; a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sister, Helen Mae Coleman; brother, Aaron Lee Gilliam; a host of nieces and nephews, among them devoted, Vanita (Michelle) Holloman; devoted cousin, Sylvia McCoy; other relatives and friends, among them devoted, Jonathan Bagby III "Butch." Remains may be viewed after 10 a.m. Saturday at Christian Tabernacle Full Gospel Church, 5100 Salem St., where funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Pastor James P. Foust, overseer. Pastor Patricia Farrar officiating. Interment Riverview Cemetery.
