I first knew Eddie when we played on the "Rocking Temptations" band. That was so much fun. When I went to Va. Union, I got to know Eddie all over again as my "homeboy". Eddie was always full of laughs and smiles. He has been gone for a while, and I'm just finding out the news. I am filled with sadness that such a great soul has gone to the other side. Know that my family and I feel your grief. Find strength in the Lord at this sad time.

Eddy was a wonderful, caring man. I was a co-worker of Eddy's back in "95". He would always make me smile telling me jokes during the day even when he felt ill. Eddy will be missed.

To the Walker Family:
I was deeply saddened to learn of Eddie's passing. I was his colleague for many, many years, and had the pleasure and honor of working directly with him for a few months. Professionally, he was a truly dedicated individual. Personally, he was well-respected by everyone who was fortunate enough to have been touched by his life. Please take comfort in knowing that Eddie is no longer suffering and is in a much better place. We all loved him and will miss him tremendously.

To Lee Walker and the Walker family, my condolences to you in this hour of sorrow. Earth has no sorrow that heaven cannot heal. Find comfort in knowing that to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord, where he suffers no more..HALLELUJAH! You are in my thoughts and prayers.

To Lee and Teresa: My heart goes out to you and your family in Edwards passing. My mom (Mama Cleeda) use to babysit Edward when he was small, so my mom will be waiting for him with open arms along with his parents. Edward was good to me when I really needed somewhere to stay, I will never forget his kindness and will always be grateful. Please keep looking to God for the strength that you will need from day to day. I was unable to make the service, but I know it was beautiful. May God's blessings continue to rain down on you. All my love.

To the family & friends of Mr. Walker:
May God bless and keep you in this difficult time. We will always remember Mr. Walker taking care of business & keeping the kids in check at the Randolph Center, where my oldest son got his start in sports. He was there for those kids, even when he wasn't feeling well. His dedication was truly amazing and he will surely be missed.

Be Still
Be still like the grass on a melancholy summer day
Be still like desert shrub.
Be calm and you will hear your loved one speak, in the stillness, in the calm, their love resounds.
If you are still this promise I make, you will hear the voice of your loved one helping you along your way.

To the Family, Groove Phi Groove, Inc., and Friends of Eddie Walker, please accept my deepest sympathy. I know you will miss Eddie's smiling face and great humor. He fought a good battle. God knew he was tired....and we know that he did his best while here on earth. He dedicated his life to the Department of Recreations and Parks and helping children. That says a lot for a person.
Peace be with you Eddie.....just tell my folks and friends "Hello"...see you on the other side my dear Brother. Rest in Peace Eddie.
Much Peace and Blessings, Betty Boykin-Ransom
