Rebecca Sullivan Sigler

SIGLER, Mrs. Rebecca Sullivan, 86, of Charlotte, N.C., and formerly of Richmond, Va., died Monday, September 22, 2008 at the Gardens of Taylor Glen in Concord, N.C. Mrs. Sigler was born in Rock Hill, S.C., August 5, 1922, daughter of the late James and Nell Comer Sullivan. She was the owner and operator of Plastic Products in Richmond, Va., and was named Business Woman of the Year and was the first woman on the Management Committee of Virginia. Mrs. Sigler was a member of Bon Air Presbyterian Church and served as a deacon in the church. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Sigler was preceded in death by her husband, Marshall; brother, Richard Edward Sullivan; sister, Mabel Jean Fisher; and sister-in-law, Alyce Sigler. Survivors include her brother, James Lewis Sullivan and wife, Pat, of Charlotte, N.C.; nieces and nephews, Diane Morris Hamilton, James Carl Sullivan, Tonda Sullivan Horne, Michael Robert Sigler, Suzy Sigler Lewis, Thomas Sigler; great-nieces and nephews, Stephanie Hamilton Beachum, Amber Marie Sullivan, Jonathan Hamilton, James Hamilton, Natalie Sullivan, David Sullivan, Allison Sigler, Lisa Sigler, Savannah Grace Horne and John Eric Horne. A service to celebrate her life will be held Thursday, September 25, at 6:30 p.m. at University Hills Baptist Church. The family will receive friends following the service.
