ALEXANDRIA, IN – James F. "Jim" Sigler, 91, entered peace and rest on Monday, December 15, 2025, from Community Hospital in Anderson following an extended illness.
He was born on February 25, 1934, in Elwood to Paul and Maude (Hancock) Sigler. Jim was a graduate of Alexandria High School-Class of 1952 where he lettered in football and basketball. For several years, Jim sold Metropolitan insurance in Alexandria. He retired from Fisher Body in Marion in 1987 after 23 years of employment,
Jim was a member of the former Alexandria First United Methodist Church and currently a member of the Anderson First United Methodist Church. He was a member of the former Alexandria Lions Club. Jim was a Life Member of the Alexandria Elks #478 and the Alexandria Men's Varsity "A" Club.
He was an avid golfer and long-time member of the Yule Men's Golf Club. Jim and his family have been going to Disney World in Orlando since 1971. He and Ona Kay were charter members in the Annual Membership Passport program since 1982. Jim was a lover of classic cars. He restored a 1946 Ford coupe and was proud of the red T-Bird convertible he restored in the 1960's. He was a fan of college football, especially the Indiana universities. Jim will be fondly remembered as a loving husband and daddy.

2 Daughters- Luanne (Mike) Latchaw and Lori Lee Sigler all of Alexandria
Grandson-Nathan Johnson of Alexandria
Step-granddaughter-Staci (Chad) Law of Fishers
2 Great-Grandchildren- Hailey Johnson of Alexandria and Weston Law of Fishers
Several nieces and nephews
He was preceded in death by his parents and 3 brothers
Services honoring Jim's life and legacy will take place at 2 pm on Friday, December 19, 2025, in the Owens Funeral Home, 412 North Harrison Street, Alexandria with Pastor Corinne Boruff officiating. Interment will follow in Park View Cemetery in Alexandria. The Sigler family will receive friends after 1 pm prior to the service in the funeral home.
