William R. "Bill" Sigler

William Ross Sigler, age 81, of Hillsdale, passed away on Saturday, March 7, 2026, at the Hillsdale County Medical Care Facility. He was born on October 22, 1944, in Hillsdale, to Charles and Lurena (Blair) Sigler. He married Phyllis Dear on May 15, 1965, and she survives.

Bill graduated from Jonesville High School and went on to get his tool and die certification from Allied. He worked as a journeyman tool and die maker for many years. Bill loved anything with an engine, if he could ride on it he had it. He especially loved his motorcycles, four wheelers and his backhoe. He took the grandkids out on his various toys whenever he got the chance. Bill also enjoyed hunting, fishing, and taking trips up north.

Bill is survived by his wife of 60 years, Phyllis; two children, Bonnie (David) Morlock, and Matthew (Becky) Sigler; three grandchildren, Collin (Stephanie) Morlock, Allison (Jacob) McCracken, and Alexus Sigler; three step-grandchildren, Jake Drawe, Megan (Eric) Rodriguez, and Nessia Hamden; four great-grandchildren, Charlotte, Evelyn, Jude and Carter; seven step-great-grandchildren, Jacob, Jealyn, Daniel, Sean, James, Eric and Lilliana; many nieces and nephews; and two sisters-in-law, Penny and Barbara Sigler.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and his siblings, Norma (Marshall) Clifton, Jack (Shirley) Sigler, John Sigler and Chuck Sigler.

A funeral service for Bill Sigler will take place on Tuesday, March 10, 2026, at 2:00 PM at the VanHorn-Eagle Funeral Home in Hillsdale with Nathan Diers officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset View Cemetery in Jonesville. The family will receive friends for visitation on Tuesday from 12:00 PM until the time of the service.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the VanHorn-Eagle Funeral Home in Hillsdale. Memorial contributions are suggested to the charity of the donor's choice.
