David Delmar Robey

David Delmar Robey, age 81, of Montgomery, Michigan, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 28, 2026, at Lynwood Manor in Adrian, Michigan. He was born on August 24, 1944, in VanWert County, Ohio, to John and Ruby (Reinhard) Robey Sr.

Dave graduated from Spencerville High School in Ohio, and he went on to serve his country in the United States Navy working as heating and cooling specialist on submarines. He was a master mechanic who owned and operated D & J Repair in Montgomery for over 30 years. Dave was mechanically gifted and could fix just about anything. He enjoyed being outdoors, fishing, and playing cards with his family, Phase 10 being one of his favorites.

Survivors include seven children, Donald T. Beard of Vancouver, Washington, Brian (Val) Rhoney of Strathaven, Scotland, Donald A. (Angie) Robey of Ada, Ohio, Angie (Brian) Kratzer of Hillsdale, Michigan, Hannah J. Robeyzachariah of Houston, Ohio, Miriam L. Zachariah of Vandalia, Illinois, and Sarah Rowe of Carrollton, Virginia; sixteen grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; and four siblings, Florence Nolan, Carol Bowers, Mary Young, and Nancy Robey.

In addition to his parents, Dave was preceded in death by six siblings, John Robey Jr., Dorothy Shaffer, Franklin Robey, William Robey, Richard Robey, and Donald Robey; and one brother in infancy.

A celebration of life for David Robey will be announced at a future date. Arrangements have been made under the guidance of VanHorn-Eagle Funeral Home in Hillsdale.
