Gloria June Hosek

Gloria June Hosek, age 88, of Lagrange, IN and formerly of Montgomery, MI passed away on Monday, January 5, 2026, at Life Care Center of Lagrange. She was born November 12, 1937, in Algansee Township to Arthur and Mabel (Hart) Carpenter. She married Wm David Hosek on January 17, 1959, and he survives.
Gloria graduated from Quincy High School, Class of 1956. She worked at several factories throughout her career in the Fremont and Angola area, with her longest tenure being at Dana Weatherhead in Angola. In her spare time, she loved sewing, crafting and traveling on color tour bus trips. Gloria was a member of the Branch County Antique Car Club and the Merry Mixers Square Dance Club in Coldwater.
Surviving besides her husband, David is one daughter, Karen (Dean) Eagleson; grandchildren, Brandon Hosek and Kyle and Kent Eagleson; four great-grandchildren, Veda and Vedan Hosek and Camdyn and Lainey Eagleson; siblings, Lilah (Harvey) Ellis, Jerry Carpenter, Norman Carpenter, and Norma Brown and sister-in-law, Kay Hosek-Knauss.
She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Kevin Hosek; and siblings, Darlene Carpenter, Barb Freeburn, Patricia King, Genevieve Kriser, and Leland Carpenter.
Visitation for Gloria Hosek will be held Friday, January 9, 2026, from 10:00 AM – 11:30 AM at the Brighton Chapel Church (5415 N. State Rd. 3, Howe, IN 46746). The funeral service will begin at 11:30 AM at the church with Pastor Rustin Krapfl officiating. Graveside services will be held at California Corners Church in Algansee Township, MI at 1:30 PM on Friday with Pastor Mark Case officiating.
