Ronald "Ron" Minton, age 79, passed away peacefully in the arms of his wife on Monday, February 23, 2026, at their home in Quincy. He was born on October 28, 1946, in Coldwater to Norman and Vina (Daly) Minton. He married Elizabeth "Cookie" VanBecelaere on August 26, 1968, and she survives.

Ron graduated from Coldwater High School class of 1966 and went on to be drafted to the United States Army and served in Vietnam for two years. Ron was employed by the US Postal Service for 40 years and retired in 2006. Ron enjoyed golfing, boating, and spending time with family. You could always find Ron "up at the garage" spending time with neighbors and friends where there have been many years of parties, gatherings, and celebrations.

Survivors include his wife of almost 58 years, "Cookie" Minton; two children, Timothy (Lori Schumann) Minton and Veronica "Roni" (Rick) Herman; five grandchildren, Brettany (Alex), Madison (Arrow) , and Dillon Minton, and Kyle and Abby Herman; three great-grandchildren, Mila, Charlie, and Elleanna; two sisters, Vicki (Paul) Petrosoff, and Toni (Jim) Nickerson; and many nieces and nephews.

There will be a Celebration of life for Ron Minton at a later date. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Shriners International or Disabled American Veterans. Arrangements are entrusted to the Eagle Funeral Home-George White Chapel in Quincy.
