Kevin K. Etchison

ALEXANDRIA, IN – Kevin K. Etchison, 65, passed entered peace and rest on Saturday, March 14, 2026, from Envive of Anderson following an extended illness.

He was born on October 28,1960, in Anderson to Marvin Earl and Donna (Glass) Etchison and was a lifetime Alexandria resident. Kevin was a graduate of Alexandria-Monroe High School-Class of 1979 where he was a member of the National Honor Society. Music was an important part of his high school years. As a trumpeter, Kevin was a member of the Symphonic Band, the Concert Band, the Jazz Band and was a proud member of the Alexandria Tiger Marching Band. He also graduated from Ball State University in Muncie in 1984. Kevin was a longtime member of the Madison County Amateur Radio Club, where he served as Secretary-Treasurer. He held general license KB9NTH.

He also was a volunteer storm spotter with the Madison County Emergency Management Agency. Kevin loved trips to Kings Island and the summers spent with family and friends at Hill Lake.

He was preceded in death by his parents

Services honoring Kevin's life and legacy will take place at 4 pm on Thursday, March 19, 2026, in the Owens Funeral Home, 412 North Harrison Street, Alexandria, officiated by Kevin's friend and band buddy George W. Killian Jr. Cremation will follow the services with private interment at Vinson Memorial Cemetery in Summitville. The Etchison family will receive friends after 2 pm on Thursday prior to the service in the funeral home.
