George Lathan Obituary

LATHAN, George Washington Jr., age 62, born December 11, 1945, entered into eternal rest September 20, 2008 at VCUHS Medical College of Virginia. George leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Claudia E. Lathan, Richmond, Va.; three daughters, Lisa and Angie Cropper of Pocomo, Md., and Erika C. Lathan of Richmond, Va.; two stepsons, Anthony L. and Aaron L. Kinchen of Richmond, Va.; three sisters, Molly Bell (John) and Doris Cherry of Richmond, Va., and Mable Fowler of Bronx, N.Y.; two brothers, Fred Lathan of Windsor, N.C., and Joe L. Lathan of Richmond, Va.; 18 grandchildren, three he reared from birth, Ty'Yanna R. Lee, Lyn'Dajah and Lindell Gaines; two great-grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Services will be held Friday, September 26, 2008, 1 p.m. at the Greater Mt. Moriah Baptist Church, 913 N. 1st St., Richmond, Va.
