Bracey, I don't know if you will see this since it has been a while, but I just this week learned about the guest book. You and I are friends from way back, more than sixty years. Remember Carrington and Mosby streets? I also think I remember Howard, John, Rufus, your sister and your mother. I didn't know Barbara Jean, but she sounds like a wonderful person. I hope you are doing well. Your old friend, Betty Ball Anderson.

Lakeside will miss the "neighborhood grandma"-- always watching out for the countless little ones that spent time in her yard or home over the years. She helped my husband and his family in so many ways, and proved to be a wonderful neighbor. She will be deeply missed. Our wishes are with her family at this time.

I too have many memories with the Gittman's and their mom. I also spent many days over at the Gittman's house I remember riding our bikes, the tree fort, and playing while Barbara always had lunch or dinner ready for us. She will truly be missed. My prayers are with the family during this time!

To the Gittman's:
My thought's and prayers are with the family of Barbara. I can only think of the "Good Times" we had as children growing up in "Lakeside" The times when we went skating, and playing in our alley riding mini-bikes behind our houses. They were the good ol days! Time will ease the pain, but theres nothing like losing your "Mom" I will try to get to see you yall tonite.

Be Still
Be still like the grass on a melancholy summer day
Be still like desert shrub.
Be calm and you will hear your loved one speak, in the stillness, in the calm, their love resounds.
If you are still this promise I make, you will hear the voice of your loved one helping you along your way.

I'm having a hard time letting it sink in that she's gone. I have known her my entire 36 years of life. She was truly an amazing person who loved all children. This is a big loss for everyone, especially her family, that she touched. She will be missed so much!
Love, Carolyn (Freedell) Williams
