Robert Walthall Obituary

WALTHALL, Robert Eugene, 83, a Veteran of World War II, went to be with the Lord on October 2, 2008, after a short battle with leukemia. He is survived by his wife of 15 months, Evelyn D. Deeds; one niece, Linda Maupin; and one sister-in-law, Edith Loving; and many friends. Bob was born September 7, 1925 and was the son of the late Charles and Helen Walthall. Robert was a native of Virginia and retired from the Commonwealth of Virginia in 1984. He was a state Inspector/Supervisor. The family will receive friends on Sunday, October 5, 2008, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Huguenot Chapel, Woody Funeral Home, 1020 Huguenot Rd. Funeral services will take place at the funeral home at 11 a.m. on Monday, October 6, 2008, with burial in the Veteran's Cemetery at Amelia, Amelia, Va., with full military honors. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in honor of Mr. Walthall to Hospice of Richmond or your favorite charity.
