Robert (Bob) Walthall passed away on October 11 th , 2025. He was born on January 12 th , 1947 in Atlanta, Georgia, son of the late Joseph Edward Walthall, Jr. and Helen Huie Walthall. After graduating from Therrell High School, he attended Georgia State University. Bob served in the United States Navy and Naval Reserve from 1966 to 1972. He worked for the Coca-Cola Company for 20 years starting with the Atlanta Coca-Cola Bottling Company and later transferring to Coca-Cola USA, Bottler Operations as Manager of In-Outlet Marketing. In 1988 he left Coca-Cola to follow his dream of managing a quail plantation and had a career of 28 years managing Sunny Hill Plantation, a 10,000 acre plantation in northeast Leon County, Florida. Bob is survived by his wife, Jean Jenerette Walthall, and his brother, Joseph Edward Walthall III. He is preceded in death in death by his sister, Gloria Walthall Miller. Bob is also survived by his three children, Melanie, Ryan (Josephine), and Lane (Blanding) and his six grandchildren, Tré, Johnson, Everett, Fort, Neal, and Ben.
A private service will be held for family. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Parkinson Disease Association or to the charity of your choice.
He was deeply loved by his wife, children, and grandchildren and will be forever in our hearts. The family is filled with loving gratitude to his caregivers.
