Antionette, Skippy, Cousin Dot, Aunt Sis, and kids,

My heart was truly sadden to hear of Cousin Harris' passing. Unlike most of the cousins I had to call her Cousin Harris because she was my teacher. She was also like a second mother to me. I draw strength in the many memories that I shared with her. You will be in my prayers.

To Our Family....
Remember the good times and there were many! I will always remember how she used to say Val, "WE" look just like your grandma. I always thought I looked more like her than she did....

She is in a better place now. No more suffering! We all will miss her dearly ~

Mrs. Harris taught both of my children at Fox Elementary school. She was the most amazing teacher, whom I had great respect for. I'd been thinking about her a lot lately and only wish that I'd sent her a card to thank her for her wonderful work.

To the Family of Virginia Harris,
Mrs. Harris was my 2nd grade teacher and she set a standard that it was unexceptable to perform under your ability. Mrs. Harris did things that are unconventional for teachers today, by taking us to her home or just picking us up on the weekend. It was that nurturing that unconciously gave those she taught a respect for teacher's down the line. She often kept up with us beyond elementary and pushed us to achieve even when we didn't want to or think we could. For these things I am thankful and will miss a strong will, loving teacher.
