KING, David K., of Richmond, died October 6, 2008. He was preceded in death by his mother, Barbara King; and father, Genero Gobantes. Surviving are his grandfather, Leroy King Jr. of Palm Springs, Calif.; uncle, Anthony D. King Sr. of Philadelphia, Pa.; great-uncles, Roland and James King; great-aunts, Josephine R. Brown and Verdell R. Bush; other relatives and friends. Remains rest at Scott's Funeral Home, 115 E. Brookland Park Blvd. Funeral services will be held Friday, October 17, at 11 a.m. at First African Baptist Church, 2700 Hanes Avenue. Rev. Dr. Rodney D. Waller officiating. Interment Forest Lawn Cemetery. Online guest book at www.scottsfuneralhome.com.
