HARDING, Frances Beatrice Kidd, 81, of Lovingston Health Care Center, died peacefully at the University of Virginia Medical Center Sunday Morning, October 12, 2008. Born June 13, 1927 in Nelson County, she was a daughter of the late Joseph Kidd and Virtie Thompson Kidd. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Marion R. Harding; a brother, Joseph A. Kidd; and a sister, Alice Kidd Pierce. Frances was a member of Ridgecrest Baptist Church and was a great mom and grandmother. She was a retired textile worker from Uniroyal of Scottsville with over 25 years of service. Survivors include her daughter, Dolores H. Blondino and her husband, Eddie, of Madison Heights; a grandson, Robby Blondino and his wife, Laurie, of Rustburg; a granddaughter, Ann B. Vyslouzil of Amherst; a great-grandson, Cody; a sister, Virginia K. Thompson and her husband, Arthur, of Lovingston; four sisters-in-law, Ceclia Kidd of Shipman, Edith Yancey of Richmond, Myrtle Milway and her husband, Thomas, of Troy and Florence Nowell of Glen Allen; four brothers-in-law, Franklin Pierce and his wife, Beth, of Roseland, Raymond Harding and his wife, Carolyn, of Mechanicsville, Wallace Harding and his wife, Catherine, of Richmond and Pleasant Harding Jr.; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, October 16, 2008 at Ridgecrest Baptist Church, 14654 Thomas Nelson Hwy., Lovingston, Va., with Rev. John P. Campbell and Rev. David Christian officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, October 15, 2008 at the Wells/Sheffield Funeral Chapel, 828 Front Street, Lovingston, Va. The family suggests memorials take the form of donations to Nelson County Rescue Squad, 7995 Thomas Nelson Hwy., Lovingston Va. 22949; Ridgecrest Baptist Church, 14654 Thomas Nelson Hwy., Lovingston, Va. 22949; or Calvary Baptist Church, P.O. Box 264, Lovingston, Va. 22949. The family wishes to thank the staff at Lovingston Health Care Center for their wonderful, kind and caring assistance they provided to their mother. They would also like to thank the Nelson County Rescue Squad and the Emergency Room Staff at the University of Virginia Medical for their kind and caring assistance during a very difficult time. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Wells/Sheffield Funeral Chapel.
