Madelynn S. Harmon

HARMON, Madelynn S., of South Hill and formerly of Meherrin, died October 12, 2008. She was the daughter of the late Beulah and Charles Shockley of Princeton, W.Va., and was predeceased by a sister, Ann Thornton of Princeton; and three brothers, Bobby and Charles Shockley, both of Princeton, and Roy Shockley of Richmond. She is survived by her daughter, Michelle A. Crowder and her husband, Charles, of South Hill; two granddaughters, Nikki Allman and Sterling Crowder; three sisters, Odema Elliot of Richmond, Twila Collins and husband, Ray, of Meherrin, and Mary Talley and husband, Irv, of Sandston; a brother, James Shockley and wife, Rose, of Rich Creek; and several nieces and nephews. A graveside funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Oakwood Cemetery in South Hill. Crowder-Hite-Crews Funeral Home and Crematory is in charge of the arrangements.
