William Harmon

William "Bill/Billy Bob" Harmon, 80, passed away November 12, 2025, following a long courageous battle with cancer. He was surrounded by love and family.

He was born December 8, 1944, in Alexandria, Indiana to Lawrence Calvin Harmon and Dorothy (Sigler) Harmon.

He graduated from Alexandria High School and proudly served, and was honorably discharged from, the U.S. Army. He worked at Delco Remy-Plant 11, from which he retired, after many years of dedicated service. He was a member of the American Legion. He enjoyed keeping a well-manicured lawn, soaking up the sun on his porch, watching old westerns, listening to "old" country music on his ipod, and going to listen to his favorite local band, Nuthin' Fancy, requesting his favorite George Jones songs. He was a stubborn man who loved whole heartedly and valued his many friendships. He will be missed by many.

He leaves behind his beloved dog, Sophie; children, Gwyn (Tim) Lewis, Bill (Michele) Harmon, Missy (Gary) Brimeyer, Marcy Harmon; siblings, Marty (Richard) Schwieger, Jeff (Rhonda) Harmon, Terry Harmon, Tim Harmon, Joyce (Larry) Balser; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and a large circle of beloved friends. The family extends heartfelt gratitude to the dedicated care givers, including the staff of Heart to Heart Hospice, especially to nurse, Lisa and exceptional loving care from his grandson, Wm. Todd Staton.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Monica "Moni" Harmon; his parents; and brother, JR Harmon.

Cremation will take place as his final request.
