Edna Osborne Thompson

THOMPSON, Edna Osborne, 87, passed away on October 13, 2008 at Halifax Community Hospital in South Boston, Va. She was the wife of the late Floyd Guy Thompson. She is survived by two brothers, Raleigh E. Osborne and wife, Myrtle, of Wylliesburg, Va., and James Garland Osborne and wife, Lillian, of Wylliesburg, Va. She was predeceased by two brothers, Willie Osborne and Charlie Osborne of Saxe; and one sister, Mable O. Bowie of Richmond, Va. She is also survived by two sisters-in-law, Dorothy Osborne of Saxe and Ida Osborne of Wylliesburg, Va.; three nephews and six nieces. She was a member of Clarendon Methodist Church in Arlington, Va. She retired from Old Dominion after 47 years of service. Visitation will be Wednesday, October 15, 2008 at the Browning Funeral Home in Keysville from 7 to 8 p.m. The funeral will be Thursday, October 16, 2008 at Hebron United Methodist Church at 2 p.m., with interment in the Moore Family Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please consider Hebron United Methodist Church Building Fund. The Browning Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
