MOORE, Patricia T. "Lovey," passed away on Tuesday, October 14, 2008 of pancreatic cancer at the age of 66 at her home in Richmond, Va. She is survived by her two sons, Michael and David; and a large extended family. Pat was born in New Orleans, La., on August 4, 1942. She graduated from Louisiana State University in 1964 and from Virginia Commonwealth University in 1980, with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in interior design. Pat was a creative entrepreneurial spirit who worked for and operated several small businesses during her career. Outside of her family, Pat's greatest loves were sewing and quilting. Pat's sewing and quilting projects received various awards and other recognition. Her innate sense of style and design was reflected in all of her artistic endeavors. She was a fantastic cook and leaves behind many memories of her favorite Cajun specialties. She will be dearly missed by her two boys and will be remembered by a large network of friends for her generosity of spirit, optimistic perseverance and a wonderful sense of humor. The family will receive friends 6:30 to 8 p.m. Friday at Bliley's-Central Chapel, 3801 Augusta Ave. At 7 p.m., there will be a time for prayers for and remembrances of Pat. A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday at Grace and Holy Trinity Episcopal Church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to CaringBridge.org.

I met Pat only once but have a wonderful memory of her. I know her friends and family will miss her but her mark will be here always.
