The Family He Left
James Akins
October 12, 2021
A man's success is always measured by just how many descendants he left to love and remember him. My Uncle George "Sonny" Goode was the pinnacle of success. Just look at how many he left to continue the lineage.

May God bless you all. I just happen to be reading a ole newspaper and seen the obituary. Oh Mr. Goode and my granddaddy Wilbert Hobson, would get together and talk much trash with each other. Mr. Goode would catch me leaving out the house then in my hay days (remember tyrone and ms Helen)where ya going gurl he would holler across the street and how will you ever forget his love of shoes and the shop in the back. My prayers are with you and may good bless..........Wilbert granddaughter Donna

To the Goode Family,
We want to let you know that memories are what sustain you at a time like this. We will always remember Mr. Goode sitting on the porch and that booming voice of his that would make all the kids on 33rd St. straighten up. Just hold on to the good times and everything is going to be alright. Love you and we wish we could be there. Chantelle, Tamara and DeeDee

Uncle Sonny is at home and hopefully one day we will all join him and be at peace. They say when you die rejoice and being born you cry and this is a time to celebrate a new beginning with our lord and savior, so remember the good times and we'll see him soon. he would have like a joyful departure than a sad one we love you black.

God saw you getting tired and a cure was not to be. So He put His arms around you and whispered "come to me." With tearful eyes we watched you, and saw you pass away. Although we loved you dearly, we could not make you stay. A golden heart stopped beating, hardworking hands at rest. God broke our hearts to prove to us, He only takes the best.
You have my sincere condolences on the loss of your husband, father, brother, and my uncle.
