William David Snoddy

SNODDY, William David, 91, of Richmond, went to be with the Lord Friday, October 17, 2008. He is survived by his devoted, loving wife of 61 years, Barbara Tunstall Snoddy; two daughters, Martha S. Slay and husband, Joseph, of Richmond, and Jane S. Smith and husband, Thomas, of Austin, Texas; son, W. David Snoddy Jr. and wife, Kimberly, of Louisville, Ky., nine grandchildren, Andrew, Patrick and Megan Slay, T. Bryan Smith, Amanda S. Kehoe, C. Evan Smith, Samuel, Nicholas and Rachael Snoddy; two sisters, Virginia S. Smith and Katherine S. Lowry; and nieces and nephews. Bill was a WWII Army veteran. He was a retired realtor from Phillips-Hall, Inc. and a member of Northminster Baptist Church, where he had served as a deacon. The family will receive friends Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Central Chapel of Bennett Funeral Home, 3215 Cutshaw Avenue. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Monday, October 20, in the chapel of Northminister Baptist Church, with interment to follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
