Joanne S. Gould

GOULD, Joanne S., 85, of Chester, Va., formerly of Hopewell, Va., died Monday, October 13, 2008 in John Randolph Medical Center. Mrs. Gould served in the U.S. Navy during WWII and was an administrative assistant for Mitre Corporation. She was preceded in death by her parents, John Henry and Clara Maude Sewall Wiegel; and her husband, Walter Raymond Gould. Mrs. Gould is survived by two daughters, Barbara Jo Gould of Chester, Judith Elizabeth Pennell of Fredericksburg; one son, John C. "Jack" Gould of Hopewell; five grandsons, Charles Pennell, Daniel Pennell, J. Anderson Gould, James Gould, Nicholas Solberg; and a great-granddaughter, Abigail Pennell. Graveside services will be held Tuesday, December 2, 2008 at 2 p.m. in Arlington National Cemetery, reception to follow. The family is being served by the Hopewell Chapel of J.T.
