A last missive to Mama Rose. You were my friend, my mentor, my partner. You gave me laughs, comforted me during difficult times, and always 'had my back'. You and PeeWee served as a role model for my marriage to Joan. We love you, and are glad that you are finally in Heaven.

I will miss Granny Rose very dearly. I had only known her for a short time but her quick witty sense of humor was something we had very much in common. She was such a sweet woman and I'm very glad to have known her. Her children Joni and Jeri are such wonderful people and I loved her family as if they are my own. I was very blessed to know her. I hope her time in heaven is all she wanted it to be. I will miss you!!

I had the pleasure of meeting Miss Betty Rose while working for Dr. Johns. She was one of those rare people who listened to you and not at you. Her hugs were always heart felt and left me feeling good. The little cards she sent left me smiling and shaking my head. Betty Rose was one of my favorite people and she will be missed. May we all learn by her example and be the unexpected.

Betty was a mentor & friend to many. She helped so many of us through rough times & was always there when you needed a friend. Through her I learned caring & compassion for others as we went on may calls together at the rescue squad. Through her my life has been greatly enriched & she will be missed greatly. I too was one of "Mama Roses" children & a little bit of Betty will always live within each of us who were touched by her love & kindness. My heart & prayers are with her family.

Betty taught me in Sunday School and again when I was a JR at Manchester Rescue Squad. I will miss my adopted Mom, but I know she's better off and is smiling. My prayers are with the family during this time.

As a 42-year-old new "kid" on the Manchester Vol. Rescue Squad block, I was assigned to a day crew with the Squad's chaplain, Betty Rose, back in 1984. The woman was a supurb Emergency Medical Technician, a wonderful mentor and a compassionate care provider for every patient. Betty was a role model for me during the next 12 years, both as an EMS provider and as a human being. She made a big difference in this world--as a wife, mother, colleague, care-giver and friend. What a great legacy; what an outstanding person.

My Mother, Mary W. Jones, has been a Central Baptist shut-in for some time. She regularly received cards which Betty had made on the computer. Those special cards and the decorated envelopes were such a blessing.

Aunt Betty and Uncle Pee Wee took my family in many, many years ago and treated us like one of their own. Our families may have drifted from one another but the memories will always remain in my heart. Aunt Betty was one of my email buddies who always had one of those jokes that made you laugh till you cried. She encouraged me when I lost my husband as she had been where I was. For that I loved her more than she would ever know. My prayers go out to my cousins-Jeff, Joe, Jerie Ellen and Joanie.

To all the children/grandchildren and those of us who by default were Mamma Rose's children as well. Our "mom" is with God and her best friend "Pee Wee", we will miss this beautiful "rose" in our lives however the seeds she planted will grow forever. She was a teacher, friend, mentor (for those of us who cared to listen) and a woman of great faith.
My heart is broken and I truly cry tears of joy for I know she is happy and wants us all to celebrate her life and not cry tears of sorrow. God bless all of Mom Rose's children and may her legacy go forward with each of us.
