Rooster and family,
I am so sorry to hear of Butch's passing. I remember him from NKHS and when we were working at the Grainery for Mr. Harrell. Butch was such a nice guy! He will be greatly missed.

To all of Butch's Family,
I knew Butch and Rooster when I was a young teen skating at the Williamburg Skating Rink! Butch was always someone very special to me. Many years later, I learned he was also a friend to my husband in their youth. When Richard and I married, Butch was a good friend to us. We enjoyed many good times in our cabinet shop and working on building our home.
The sacrifice Butch made for us in Vietnam continued through his whole life and made us proud to be his friend. His memory lives on with us forever.
As you always said to us Butch..."Later". May you rest in peace.

Dear Aunt Dot,
Since, I can't be there I wanted to share one of my favorite poems. I don't know who wrote this poem but I believe in its words. "Do not stand at my grave and weep, I am not there, I do not sleep. I am a thousand winds that blow, I am the diamond glints on snow. I am the sunlight on ripened grain, I am the gentle autumn rain. When you awaken in the morning's hush, I am the swifter rush. Of quiet birds in circled flight, I am the soft star that shines at night. Do not stand at my grave and cry, I AM NOT THERE, I DID NOT DIE." Butch's sprit will always live on in our hearts. love, Jo

Butch
A True Soldier,Friend And Hero
He gave hisself for his country,in time of War. He was a True Soldier
He was always there for his family and friends. He'd give you his last penny or the shirt off his back if you needed it. He was a Trus Friend.
And in the end again he proved that he put others befor hisself, when he tried to save his Friend. He is a True Hero.
Butch will forever be remembered my all of us who knew him.
My heart is sadden by this lost, that all his dreams and plans will never be fullfilled, but I know that the Lord has Greater Plans for him and that his reward is there in Heaven.
Love you Cous, Florette & Family
