Dear Mr. Moore,
I'm sorry that I did not have an opportunity to express to you how great it was to know you and count your firstborn son as my best friend.
The characteristics that I observed in you while growing up in Wellesley, Mass.. have been reflected in George Edward, III.. and I would have wanted to share that with you..
I would have thanked you for your service in the military.. and told you how warm, loving and dedicated you and Mrs. Moore were to your children & grandchildren..
Your outgoing nature, respect for others.. warm smile, quick laugh.. are all qualities that I see in George..
I guess I will have to wait until we meet in Heaven.. but one thing I am sure that you already know.. and that is when we see George and admire his qualities, we are also seeing you in him..
What a blessed lfe you lived.. despite your setbacks.. and I would hug you like my own father whom I lost 13months ago.. and thank God for knowing you.. and your loving family.
Go Navy, Mr. Moore, all our love and prayers are with you and those you leave behind until 'that day' when we meet again.. in the sweet bye and bye..

Ray and Carmel Ayotte

Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you during this difficult period. Carmel and I have wonderful memories of your father and mother. We enjoyed many hours of bridge with them. They were wonderful hosts to us as we celebrated our 30th wedding anniversary in 1993. My fondest memories of George are hicking with him in the White Mountains of New Hampshire between 1968 and 1975. He is the one I have to thank for introducing me to the joys of hicking in the wilderness. Other fond memories, include working with him in Boston, and our regular noon hour bridge games and walks along the Charles River. Thank you Mike for leaving a message on my office phone -- very thoughtful of you. We were also saddened to read of your Mom's passing on October 8. Fifty four years of marriage and now together for eternity.

The SOUTHERLAND PLACE family extends to Mr. Moore's family our heatfelt sympathy at his passing. Mr. Moore will be remembered for his firm handshake, commanding voice, and love of his family. We know he and Betsy are sitting together sipping pink lemonade. They will both be missed very much.

My brother bought me my bicycle when I so much wanted one. I loved that bike. He was 8 years older and I was a pest I am sure.
