Margaret Eleanor (Nauber) Moore was born on June 19, 1934, in Gibbon, MN, to William and Edna Nauber, the first of ten children: four sisters-Josepine, Elizabeth, Ruthann, and Judy-and five brothers-Warren, Joseph, Donald, Richard, and Bruce.
She passed away on November 18, 2025.
Margaret grew up and graduated from school in Akeley Mn. She worked at Ah-gwah-ching sanatorium for tuberculosis patients before marrying James Moore on November 27, 1955. They were happily married for 64 years. Together they built two houses and raised four children, Daniel, David, Janine and Donald. She was a wonderful and loving wife and stay-at-home Mom who worked tirelessly for her family. She was a person of strong faith in God and a longtime member of St John's Lutheran church in Akeley where she devoted many years of service. She taught Sunday school, was a Cub scout leader, a school helper and enjoyed studying the bible with Jehovah's Witness at her home over many years. In addition, she was blessed with 11 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and 4 great, great grandchildren. She loved watching birds in the feeders that her husband made for her, feeding and watching deer, and most of all enjoyed board and card games with friends, family and especially her grandchildren.
Margaret had a stroke in March of 2019 during the time her husband was failing in health. They were both cared for by family at home until the passing of her husband, Jim, in August of that year. She then moved to Park Rapids under the care of her daughter and son-in-law, David Pease. They enjoyed many travels, adventures and laughter together. On November 11th, 2025, she suffered a massive stroke and passed away on November 18th, 2025. She was truly kind, funny, witty, and cherished by all who knew her. She always had a smile on her face.
