To the Dodl Family:
Your family and the Christadelphian family have both suffered a great loss. But, we do not sorrow as others who have no real hope. Brother Calvin was an outstanding example and inspired many as a true follower of Christ, and he now sleeps awaiting the glorious resurrection and call to the judgment seat of Christ. May his sleep be brief until he awakes and hears those wonderful words: Well done, thou good and faithful servant; thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy Lord. And the peace of Yahweh, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

Calvin was a student of the Bible all his life and also enjoyed singing hymns. When he laughed, his shoulders shook. Calvin was also a member of the Christsadelphian Advocate committee, supporting Bible teachings to all subscribers. I will remember Calvin as a gentle yet strong supporter of Bible truth, not giving in to "every wind of doctrine" that came along. He was an avid student of Bible prophecy, particularly as it pertains to present day events. Calvin also loved Israel. I will also remember his tenor and bass voice as he sang hymns to the Lord. He set a great example to all who knew him and conducted his life as a sober example of a disciple of Jesus Christ. Our prayers are with his family for their loss; but they sorry not as others who have no hope, for Calvin only sleeps in a memorial grave and will be raised at our Lord's return. "Pray for the peace of Jerusalem."
