PIERCE, Mrs. Ethel D., of Bracey, died October 29, 2008. She is survived by her two daughters, Jacquelin P. Miles and friend, Ronnie, of Chester and Barbara P. Young and husband, Jerry, of Bracey; two sons, William H. "Bill" Pierce II and wife, Joann, of Bracey and James L. Pierce and wife, Jean, of Morganton, N.C.; a special daughter, Carolyn P. Goodville and husband, Richard, of Hampton, Va; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by one grandson. A funeral service will be conducted Saturday at 2 p.m. in Crowder-Hite-Crews Funeral Home and Crematory, with interment in Crestview Memorial Park. A public Eastern Star service will be conducted Friday night at 7 p.m. at the funeral home, with visitation to follow the service. Memorial contributions may be made to Children's Hospital, 2924 Brook Rd., Richmond, Va. 23220 or the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 422, South Hill, Va. 23970.
